Who we are
TeenWebDev is a live, project-based learning program where teenagers build real websites using AI tools. This page explains what information we collect when you book a workshop, how we use it, and our refund policy.
If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at john@teenwebdev.com.
Information we collect
When you reserve a spot for a workshop, we collect:
- Your name and email address (the parent or guardian booking the session)
- Your child's name and age (the student attending the workshop)
- Payment confirmation details via our payment processor, Paystack — we do not see or store your card details
If you sign up for our "notify me" list without booking, we collect only your name and email address.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Confirm your booking and send you session details (date, time, Zoom link)
- Communicate with you about the workshop, including reminders and any schedule changes
- Notify you about future sessions, if you've opted in
- Improve our program based on attendance and feedback
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Where your information is stored
Booking details are stored in a private Google Sheet accessible only to TeenWebDev staff. Payment processing is handled entirely by Paystack, and confirmation emails are sent via Resend. Both providers maintain their own privacy and security standards.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and your child
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data, where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected
- Withdraw consent for future communications at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email john@teenwebdev.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Cookies
This site uses Vercel Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies or track individuals across sites. Embedded videos (via Vimeo) may set their own cookies when played — these are controlled by Vimeo's own privacy policy.
Refund policy
We want every family to feel confident booking a workshop. Here's how refunds work:
- More than 48 hours before the session: full refund, no questions asked. Email john@teenwebdev.com with your booking details.
- Within 48 hours of the session: we're unable to offer a refund, since spots are limited and a late cancellation can't be filled. We're happy to transfer your spot to a future session instead — just let us know.
- If the workshop is cancelled by us (e.g. due to low enrollment or technical issues), you'll receive a full refund or the option to move to the next available session.
- Technical issues during the session: if your child is unable to fully participate due to a problem on our end, contact us afterward and we'll work with you on a resolution — whether that's a refund or a free spot in a future session.
To request a refund or transfer, email
john@teenwebdev.com with the name used for booking and your payment reference (found in your confirmation email).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the program grows. Significant changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page.
